Associate Information Systems Analyst (Specialist)

Miles "maximum action" Reed, or MaxAxe, or simply Max for short, is one of the computer people lurking around the UC Santa Cruz Marine Sciences campus, although sometimes he is seen as far east as the Greater Sacramento Area, as far north as San Francisco, as far south as Monterey, and as far west as the west side of his office.
Although he'll be getting a degree in Educational Technology at SFSU from 2007 to 2009, nothing beats stringing CAT5 cable through tick-infested bushes, gingerly stepping over parts of dead animals to reach an electrical conduit, or driving trucks on remote beaches to recover stranded wildlife.
Miles used to work for Instructional Computing while he was a student at UC Santa Cruz before he migrated down to the campus by the ocean to watch birds and smell fertilized brussel sprouts.
In his spare time, Miles works on this website, other websites, and cleans out the microwave in his kitchen. He survives off of frozen food from Trader Joes and spicey marinara sauce made from scratch. As of August 2007 he is also making breakfast.

Frequently Asked Question:
Are you that friendly guy on Geek Speak?
Nope. That would be Miles Elam, <plug> heard on Geek Speak on KUSP every Saturday at 10:00am </plug> Though we've never met and we don't look anything alike, I'm suspecting more and more that we were separated at birth. If you're reading this and would like to contribute more to the conspiracy, please e-mail me or call the other Miles next Saturday.
