Megan Moriarty worked at the Williams Marine Mammal Physiology Lab from October 2005 - June 2007. She was an assistant trainer. She trained the dolphins and participates in animal husbandry activities for their other animals too. She has also worked as an aquarist at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center in the summer of 2006. She completed her undergraduate research project in Moorea, French Polynesia in Fall 2006, examining a possibly invasive brown algae and its associated fish community structure in a coral reef system. She is a student at UCSC and will graduate in the summer of 2007, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Biology. She plans to go to veterinary school and study marine animal medicine and/or go to graduate school to pursue a career in marine biology research.
