Environmental Scientist C

Start Date: July 1967
I received a BS degree from Sacramento State College in June 1967. I have worked with CDFG continuously since July 1967. Early on I worked on monitoring the Albacore tuna fishery and assessing sportfish populations on man made habitats. Since July 1972 I have worked almost continuously on various sea otter projects. Some current and past duties include: participation in the design and construction of equipment used in three methods of sea otter capture, participation in the collection of dead sea otter carcasses, participation in sea otter necropsies, participation in twice annual sea otter counts, participation in studies to understand the accuracy of sea otter counts, participation in studies designed to understand the effect of various kinds of fishing gear on sea otter mortality, participation in the design, and construction and stockpiling of portable, floating, holding pens for potential use with oil-injured sea otters. Main hobby is camping with my family.
