As you drive through the gates of the complex, you will pass the buildings in the following order (also marked on the photograph above):

1. California Department of Fish and Game, Office of Spill Prevention and Response, Marine Wildlife Veterinary Care and Research Center (that's us!)

2. UC Santa Cruz (affiliated) Predatory Bird Research Group

3. NOAA, National Marine Fisheries Service-Southwest Fisheries Science Center, Santa Cruz Laboratory

4. UC Santa Cruz Long Marine Laboratory

5. UC Santa Cruz Seymour Center (The BEST--and only--place open to the pubic for regular tours)

The UC Santa Cruz Marine Science Campus, in its entirety, is operated by the UCSC Institute of Marine Sciences. For historical reference, the Marine Science Campus was known as the "Long Marine Laboratory" until early 2000.

What about USGS?

USGS Coastal and Marine Geology may build a facility here sometime before 2050. In the meantime, their nearest facility is actually two blocks away here. USGS holds an open house 1-2 times a year. Check their website frequently for anouncements.
