The Oiled Wildlife Care Network coordiantes with the Department of Fish and Game, Office of Spill Prevention and Response to handle recruitment and training, both beforehand and at the time of the incident.

Volunteers at our facility during spill response operations have ideally trained in advance in classes held by the International Bird Resure Research Center and by the Oiled Wildlife Care Network. These classes are held on an ongoing basis.
