Command	Why it Rocks
tar zxvf yourfile.tar.gz	uncompresses and then unzips you tar.gz file into the current directory
du –sh folder name	get disk usage per folder
tar cvf dest_dir/filename.tar source_dir	tarball (archive) a directory (recursively)
compress dir/home.tar	compress the tarball
